9. Insanity

"Yesterday I went to the supermarket to get some groceries, and you know how these days we hear about spiders in the bananas? I thought they were joking, man, I really thought so, but man, I shit you not, I saw a fucking spider through them." Tom said to his friend Chris while peeling an orange.

"Oh my god, that's gross! What did you do?" Chris asked.

"I told a guy who was working there. He didn't believe me, so I showed him. Do you know what he told me?" Chris shook his head, so Tom continued. "He said that I was fucking crazy and there was no spiders in the bananas. Crazy!"

"He called you mental? That fucker!" Chris tightened his fists.

"Yeah, man, so I beat him with them until he said I wasn't crazy." Tom replied smugly.

Chris smirked. "Good."

"Tom, it's time for your medicine." The nurse stated, stepping in the small room. "Who were you talking to?"

Tom looked at Chris. "Nobody."
