"I miss you too. How are you?"

"I'm okay. I didn't go to my room once this week!"

"That's good, sweetie. Did you get my letter?"

"Yeah, I did, thank you! Dad told me I couldn't keep the money you sent me though. He took it."

"Oh… how are things with mom and dad?"

"It's okay, I mean… if I do what they say, I can eat and go to school and they don't yell at me all that much. When will you visit?"

"As soon as I can. I'm so sorry I won't be there for your birthday."

"Mom and dad said I wouldn't have a birthday cake this year because I don't deserve it."

… "Don't worry sweetie, I'll buy you two cakes when I'll get you, and then we'll go to the attraction park you wanted to go."

"Yeah! I can't wait to see you, Amanda… I gotta go, dad said he'd spank me if I don't stop talking."
